How to Trade-in

It’s a practical closed-loop pathway that keeps materials out of landfill and in circulation. *Credits are valid for 12 months unless otherwise agreed.

Trade-in & Reunion® Process

Every returned product represents more than material recovery.

When you trade-in and reunited Staebl with our products you are reducing the demand for new resources, lowering embodied carbon, and supporting a system where materials are expected to return. This is our practical application of Design Loop® and Waste Remade®.

Trade-in & Reunion® Process - Option 1: In white writing on a marine blue background, 'Credit's Not Cash. Accepted trade-ins are exchanged toward future Staebl products. No cash changes hands.'
Trade-in & Reunion® Process - Option 2: In white writing on a marine blue background, 'Two Recovery Pathways. Deliver prepared products for credits, or engage Staebl for managed recovery when needed.'
Trade-in & Reunion® Process - Option 3: In white writing on a marine blue background, 'Recycled for Free if Unrecoverable. If products can't be refurbished, repair or reused, Staebl will recycle them at no cost.'

Recovered materials are returned through the Staebl Design Loop® and remade into future products through the Waste Remade® program, reducing our reliance on new resources and supporting Staebl 2030 Environmental Plan.

How Trade-in & Reunion® Works

Every returned product is assessed for reuse, refurbishment, or material recovery, supporting Waste Remade® and returning valuable materials through the Design Loop®.

Decide not to Throw Away

Before products are removed, choose to recover them. This generates product credit, reduces landfill, and lowers embodied material Co2.

1. Tell us about your Trade-in

Share the product details: Their type, material, quantity, condition, and site location. Photos and context support an accurate assessment.

2. Receive initial Credit Estimate

Staebl reviews your information and shares an estimated trade-in credit for future or current projects.

3. Confirm recovery pathway

Staebl confirms the safest and most practical return method, like site collection or approved recycling.

4. Remove and prepare products

Carefully remove and prepare products for return. Follow Staebl's guidance to keep materials uncontaminated and valuable.

5. Verification of products

Staebl inspects returned products to confirm reuse, refurbishment, or recovery, then finalises your product credit.

6. Apply the credit

Credit is applied to your Staebl order, project account, or can be held for 12 months unless otherwise agreed.

7. Return to Design Loop®

Recovered materials are reprocessed through the Design Loop®, supporting Waste Remade® and future products.

What can be returned?

Trade-in & Reunion® Product eligibility

  • If a product is not eligible for credit, Staebl will still support responsible recovery and recycling pathways, ensuring materials are not lost to landfill.

  • Staebl products - TGSIs ands Stair Edging & Trims - (All generations).

  • Approved non-Staebl mobility access products (including legacy TGSIs, stair nosings, and access indicators.

  • Aluminium-based and Stainless Steel based TGSI and Stair Nosing & Trim products with recoverable material value

Statement of Return®

Recognition for Doing a Good Thing.

Every Trade-in & Reunion® submission receives a Staebl Statement of Return®, a formal acknowledgement recognising the company or individual who has taken the time and responsibility to recover mobility access products and construction materials from site.

This is more than a receipt. It recognises:

  • The decision to recover materials instead of sending them to landfill

  • The effort required to remove, separate, and return products

  • The leadership shown with better material outcomes in the built environment

Whether driven by sustainability, compliance, or project value, every return represents a conscious action. The Statement of Return® provides a record of that action, supporting internal reporting, ESG documentation, and project accountability.

Not all decision are made for environmental reasons.

  • Some are made for cost.

  • Some for compliance.

  • Some simply because it is the better option available.

Trade-in & Reunion® recognises all of them.

Every product recovered is one less lost to landfill, and one step closer to a system where materials are expected to return.

Trade-in & Reunion® is designed for real projects, not ideal conditions.

Every Trade-in & Reunion® submission receives a Staebl Statement of Return®, a formal acknowledgement recognising the company or individual who has taken the time and responsibility to recover mobility access products and construction materials from site.
